The Santa Ana Public Library held its annual Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) event on Saturday, April 27, 2013. This event, which has been held at the library since 2009, promotes the importance of children, literacy, and culture throughout the community. This year the location of the Día festivities expanded to include the Plaza of the Sun next to City Hall, as well as its usual spot in the library’s turn-around area.
On May 4th, the Santa Ana Public Library and the Santa Ana Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency will launch its Third Annual "State Of My Heart" exhibit. This year’s theme will focus on traditional dresses and rebozos (shawls) from the various states of Mexico.
Arts Orange County (Arts OC) and El Centro Cultural de Mexico will present “Día Del Niño”/“Day of the Child”, a featured event as part of Arts OC’s 28th Annual Imagination Celebration, a month–long county-wide festival of arts for families and children.
