Have you ever wanted to invest in your home and in the environment?
Now is the perfect opportunity to do both!
The City of Santa Ana is promoting an incentive for using solar power: the Solar Permit Fee Waiver Program. Residents and business owners who sign up for the program can receive solar plan checks, inspections, and permits free of charge. Getting solar panels installed has never been easier!
Here is some great information on some benefits of solar power.
-Solar panels harness energy from the sun and convert it to usable power for your home or business.
-Customers who install solar panels can significantly reduce their electric bills. In other words, they save money!
-Solar panels are green because they create electricity without polluting the environment, unlike that done by coal and oil.
Who should be interested in the Solar Permit Fee Waiver Program?
City residents who want to do more to be green but have trouble with the costs, contractors who are marketing Green Building, and any environmentally and ecologically minded residents and businesses
Also part of the City’s “Build Green Initiatives” is the inspection staff for new construction. They examine new air conditioner units, furnaces, and other equipment for their compliance with Title 24.
